Who Should Join Cub Scout Pack 516 ...

Pack 516 is now a Family Pack.  We are now welcoming female and male youth, Kindergarten through Fifth grade!  We would love to have you come check out our Dens as they venture into Crafts, Adventure, Outings, and Fun FUN FUN!

   Why Join Cub Scouting?

Your time is valuable. More than ever, today’s families struggle to find time to spend together. Cub Scouting helps to support your family by providing ready-made opportunities for you and your children to do things together.

Your children need to belong to a group of their own age outside of the normal classroom. Through this sense of belonging, they build their self-esteem and learn to get along with others. As a parent, you want to be assured that the groups that your children join will teach values consistent with good citizenship, character development, and physical fitness. The Boy Scouts of America has been weaving these lifetime values into fun and educational activities since 1910.

In a society where our youth are taught that winning is everything, Cub Scouting teaches them to “do your best” and to be helpful to others.

Scouting teaches family values and works to strengthen your relationship with your children. Scouting activities can bring added value to the time you already have with your children.

But we know that children do not join Cub Scouting just to get their character built.

They join because it is fun.
